At some point you will fall and as you get older the chances increase. Keeping a house uncluttered is very important. Not only to reduce the chance of falling but to limit the severity of your injury. I see this everyday with the seniors I work with. Being in the medical alert business really opens your eyes the the staggering number of seniors who fall and simply are unprepared. After you fall and are lying on the floor unconscious, is not the time to wish you had a medical alert system or cell phone nearby. At MedFirst Alert, we take great care of all of our seniors and 99% of our business is from word of mouth from happy customers.

Some great ideas here for helping to prevent any mishaps if a fall does occur. Exercising can definitely help, as stronger legs will make falls less likely to happen. This article here has a few quick and very simple exercises that can be done to strengthen the legs and ankles to reduce the risk of a fall.
