Women always have more stuff
to carry around than will fit in their handbags, and I hate it when I wrinkle
the cover of a paperback book that belongs to the library. Let’s face it; a purse can only do so much. We also know that shoulder bags get really
heavy and soon cause pressure on already painful shoulders. It stands to reason that dividing up the
booty is a much more sensible way to handle things.
So, what are you going to
do? We are caught in between looking
like a teenager lugging a heavy backpack and a bag lady with a shopping cart. Your choice, according to a mini review by
Sarah Jackson (The Herald, Tuesday, March 24, 2009) is to use your reusable
grocery bags or check out the stylish BoxTotes by Oblong (www.boxtote.com).
I am drawn to the totes and
I know they will look a lot smarter than the gym bag that I usually carry
around with me. These totes are tough,
light weight, and water resistant. They
snap together easily and are reusable. The totes also unsnap and can be folded
flat for storage. The totes come in four
sizes (with matching accessories, if you are so inclined) and will carry
everything from needlework to sketchbook/journals, water bottles and anything
else a senior lady might like to have at her fingertips.
