I have touched on the basics of the Oxycise exercise program in the past, but as I have been doing it for over seven years now, I think it is time to mention it again. I am not big on testimonials, but just the fact that I have been doing it for seven years says something rather positive about it, don’t you think?
Seniors know how important it is to exercise regularly so whether you are avid gym goers or still thinking about getting started, this is for you. Oxycise works! Whether you are trying to lose weight, drop inches, warm muscles or relieve stress this is the no-excuse exercise for you.
No matter what exercise program you are currently involved with you will notice that the instructor (live or video) is always reminding you to breathe, and you have probably noticed that at that very moment you are indeed holding your breath. Oxygen is a vital part of an exercise program. Stress causes you to tense up, while breathing brings oxygen to your muscles and allows them relax.
Unfortunately, when you are exercising you are probably concentrating more on your form than on your breathing, but breathing makes an exercise more effective.
Oxycise is a simple exercise program that incorporates the power of oxygen. You are actually focusing more on breathing than on the positions so you can exercise standing up or sitting down. I do a series of stretching exercises for hip/back discomfort as well as stretching my Achilles tendon to keep plantar fasciitis at bay. Instead of doing a separate set of exercises for each problem, I incorporate oxy breaths into my stretching routines, which saves a considerable amount of time.
Oxycise is a 15 minute exercise program that can really make a difference. You don’t have to jump up and down or buy expensive equipment; all you need is a chair and the air you breathe. Even better news is that this 15 minute exercise program can be broken up into several sessions if you don’t have 15 minutes to spend on yourself at once.
Oxycise is low impact and you don’t have to work up a sweat so you don’t need special gym clothing unless wearing a leotard turns you on. You can do it at home, in your car, at your office, or even in a hotel room. I take the audio version with me when I go on vacations and have been seen Oxycising on balconies everywhere, even in the confines of an RV. Once you figure out how to get the air flowing in and out of your body you can incorporate some simple stretching exercises to go with it. Yes, you need to learn a new breathing technique but it is really quite simple and you will love the way it makes you feel. Oh, and did I mention that there is not special diet (except a healthy one, of course), no pills, no supplements, no machines, no impact and no major time commitment. Worth a try, don’t you think?
